About me
James “Jake” Tate, Jr., CFP®
Financial Advisor
Jake joined the Green Fairways Wealth Management team in July 2015. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Jake specializes in Multi-Generational Wealth Planning. Working with the second and third generation of current clients, Jake utilizes planning strategies to ensure that each family's wealth and legacy are properly managed. Jake often works with Millennials and pre-retirees and being a Millennial himself, he understands the perspective of his peers. He guides them by creating an Envision® Investment Plan that prioritizes their unique goals and objectives. Additionally, Jake is an Apprentice Portfolio Manager in the Private Investment Management (PIM) Program1. He handles the research and works closely with Senior PIM Portfolio Manager, Jim Tate, in managing the firm’s portfolios.
Jake was born and raised in Venice and is a fifth-generation Floridian. Jake leads Community Involvement for Green Fairways, and he serves on several boards. He is active in the Venice Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Community Board and is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Jake and his wife, Jillian, enjoy raising their daughter, Emerson Grace, in the community where they both grew up. Jake is an avid reader and loves the outdoors…golfing, fishing, boating, skiing and sporting events.
